HEY, I’M LEAH!

As a mom of three who’s traveled to over 40 countries and rebuilt homes from scratch more than once (lots of moves!) - I’ve learned that home and travel aren’t opposites. They’re part of the same story. My goal is to help families create a life that feels like home no matter where they are…

whether they’re catching flightS or choosing paint colors.

Almost 40, married, girl mom - You know the normal stuff you tell people

The Leap

Hi, I’m Leah! I am a Pediatric Nurse turned full time Content Creator. Nursing taught me patience, but my heart has always been pulled toward a different kind of adventure: showing my kids the world and creating a home that feels like us. Taking the leap from nursing to content creation wasn’t easy, but I believe God gives us seasons to trust Him, and He has always been faithful to catch me. My husband and I now both work for ourselves, embracing entrepreneurship, faith, and family life with more intention and plenty of lessons learned along the way. Though for me those lessons look like less brunches and more deadlines. Ugh, being your own boss is hard! Here, I share practical tips, honest stories, and inspiration to help families travel together with more joy and a little less stress. Adventures don’t have to be perfect; they just have to be yours.

I have been married to my husband Tj for 15 years but I’ve loved him before he knew it. I may have played hard to get but I knew it was him all along. We have moved A LOT, from married people with no kids as I did travel nursing and he worked remotely. To having one kid and deciding to take her own the road too! We have lived across the country and added to our family while we lived in Denver, Colorado. Our family grew and we moved back home to Orlando. Only to realize, we needed a thrill. In 2023 we moved our 3 girls to Portugal for a year abroad and it was MAGIC! We moved back to Orlando in the summer 2024 and we are so happy to be back near family and dear friends. Our girls are 11, 8 and 6 and they are going to be the best people we know but for now, we are raising them the best way we can. Providing them the world, teaching kindness and gratefulness with all the faith Jesus has given us.

OUR TRAVEL STORY

OUR TRAVEL STORY

Two people smiling and posing on a staircase with lush green foliage, overlooking a scenic view of a beach with a large rock formation in the ocean and a cliff in the background.

Travel....ahhhh! One of my favorite stories to tell! He said “you want to go on a cruise to the Bahamas?” and the answer was YES! It was my first time out of the country at 21 and we have not looked back. Tj always jokes that he found me as a “local joker” but he had only been to ONE other country before me (heavy side eye). So, we spent our entire dating life getting out of dodge. I HATED requesting time off because I knew I was leaving and my job couldn’t tell me any different. Our travels continued through our married life with no kids and we vowed to each other that we would continue to take solo trips even after becoming parents. We kept that vow and now we head to a new country every summer, just the two of us! Our first born, had a passport and jumped the water to Jamaica before the age of one. We realized this was possible probably because she was the best baby ever but we loved it. As the kids kept coming, #2 and then #3, we kept pushing the boundaries, further and further our flights got. And today, Tj and I have been to over 40 countries and our girls, nearly 30!

HOMES ON HOMES

HOMES ON HOMES

We have lived under about 15 roofs, Tj and I! It’s crazy to think we have moved that much and aren’t military! We have owned 3 homes, 1 in Denver, Colorado that we did MAJOR renovations on, including a kitchen, bathroom and entire basement. We have lived in NUMEROUS apartments and rented two homes while living in Portugal. We have been experts in decluttering and packing up. But this recent home has been our longest stent, 6 years. And while I am unsure if this is our forever home, I love her. When we moved to Portugal we rented out our home and I had to cover everything we had done with white paint. We sold almost everything we owned and put the rest of what we had in the smallest possible storage unit. Now that we’re back, I am determined to make this house feel like our HOME. I want to get comfortable and I’m doing just that with as much color and personality I can muster. Let me share with you all the things I am loving for home decor to paint colors.

A woman with tattoos sitting on a tan office chair in front of a desk, smiling at the camera. The room has a white wall with a board decorated with photos and notes, a mustard-colored wall with scalloped edges, a black shelving unit with books and decor, and a framed picture on the wall.

The things you don’t tell...

A woman sitting on a wooden stool, laughing with her eyes closed and hand on her chest. She is wearing a mustard-colored blazer, matching pants, and a gray top, with a smartwatch, rings, and a tattoo on her arm. The background has white draped fabric.

Failure is scary!! Like yes, sure no one wants to fail, but it has crippled me from starting new things and stepping out. but I’m sick of being scurred!!! Maybe this started when I decided to tattoo a half sleeve at the age of 35. Or maybe when I got my nose pierced in Portugal at 37, either way....being authentically me at almost 40 is a must! Doing the things I’ve always wanted to do has been so liberating. Letting go of the shame of being a worship leader with tats or being a midlife mother of 3 with a nose ring. WHATEVER....this is me and being a full time content creator is another thing I have always wanted to do. So with my faith and my “you can’t tell me what to do” spirit (not to you Lord),

I’m doing it, maybe a little scared!
